HEDELIUS will present six machining centres at EMO in Hannover, which runs from 16 to 21 September 2019. Some of the 3- and 5-axis milling machines can be seen live in action in Hall 12/D06. The 3-axis FORTE range will be represented by a FORTE 65 and its big sister, the FORTE 85, while the ACURA 65 EL with BMO automation and the ACURA 85 will showcase the rotary/tilt table series among the 5-axis machining centres. The TILTENTA 7-2600 and TILTENTA 9-2600 will represent the swivel head machining centres. “This selection of machines will allow us to present the entire spectrum of the HEDELIUS product range to trade visitors at EMO,” says HEDELIUS Managing Director Dennis Hempelmann.
TILTENTA 7-2600 live in action and with a new rotary table
HEDELIUS will present the TILTENTA 7-2600 with Siemens controls live in action, as a dynamic 5-axis machining centre with a pivotable spindle. Alongside conventional rough machining and finishing, 5-axis simultaneous machining, i-machining and deep-hole drilling will also be on display. A new feature of this machining centre is the integrated NC rotary table with torque drive, which makes for a significantly higher speed of up to 50 min-1. This allows cubic 5-axis workpieces to be machined more quickly.
LIVE on the ACURA 85: i-machining and high-performance milling
The ACURA 85 with Heidenhain controls can also be seen live in action. This extremely compact 5-axis machining centre features a rotary/tilt table with travel distances of 900 x 850 x 700 mm (x/y/z), thus offering lots of room for high-precision machining of cubic components. A wide and diverse range of machining techniques will be demonstrated on a threefold clamping pyramid, including high-feed and high-speed milling.
The ACURA 65 EL with BMO automation will also be shown live in action. Again, the ACURA 65 EL is significantly smaller than the ACURA 85, but also has large travel distances of 700 x 650 x 600 mm (x/y/z) and a 65-slot tool magazine as standard. High-performance milling and thread forming can also be seen live.
A connection with a BMO Platinum 50 also allows EMO visitors an optimum view of the ACURA 65 EL’s automated features live. In addition, a standby magazine is connected to the system. This additional tool magazine with over 190 tools offers a particularly high level of flexibility and process security in automation, as tools and spares are always available for the machine.
