The ROBOTREX automation cell is made up of a Fanuc 6-axis robot with payloads up to 50 kg. The workpieces are stored by means of vices on mobile automation trolleys. The patented, vertical bearing of the vices provides optimised use of the floor space. The automation trolleys facilitate clamping and unclamping of workpieces, even at a great distance from the machine. An automation trolley can be removed or replaced while the machine is in operation. The ROBOTREX 96 system also features a gripper changeover to allow processing of different vice sizes. The system, together with the automatic detection of the automation trolleys, ensures a high degree of flexibility and covers a wide variety of parts.
