MARATHON LR810: Heavy-duty automation for large components

Large components, long travel distances and automated production are not mutually exclusive. With the combination of TILTENTA and MARATHON LR810, HEDELIUS is presenting, for the first time, the integration of a universal travelling-column machine with high-performance heavy-duty automation within a seamless, productive overall concept.

The new system combines an X-axis travel of 2,600 mm with automatic lateral loading, whilst not restricting free access to the machine for the flexible machining of individual parts. The MARATHON LR810 offers up to ten heavy-duty pallet positions and enables the automated loading of workpieces weighing up to 1,650 kg. This makes the machine particularly suitable for businesses wishing to machine large individual parts, small batches and recurring orders up to 1,250 mm (T9) or up to 1,450 mm (T10, T11) in diameter more cost-effectively.

During day-to-day operations, the TILTENTA remains flexible: large and complex workpieces can be conveniently set up and machined manually. Outside regular shifts, the LR810 takes over automated loading – for additional productive spindle hours, less downtime and better capacity utilisation. The result is a manufacturing concept that combines two requirements: maximum flexibility for varying orders and increased productivity through unmanned operation.
