• Automate step by step.
    Level 1: READY.

    READY im Detail

READY: Ready for automation, without committing today.

Many businesses recognise that automation makes sense in the long term. At the same time, making the leap straight away does not always fit with their current order book, floor space or the timing of the investment. This is exactly what READY is designed for. The machine operates as usual in manual mode today and already meets the essential requirements for future automation: an integrated side loading opening, a rotary transfer unit with media transfer for clamping mechanism control, as well as electrical and software interfaces. This means that an automation system can be easily integrated at a later date. You remain flexible and do not need to commit to a specific automation solution just yet.

Understanding READY
Machines suitable for automation
Get started in 3 steps

Heute manuell fertigen.
Morgen vielleicht automatisieren.

Investment security without the need for production restructuring.

READY lays the groundwork for future automation without changing your production processes today. You can continue to produce manually whilst remaining open to the next stage of development. The machine is already equipped with the necessary features for future pallet automation, thereby avoiding the need for costly modifications.

Level 1 Ready

Ready for the future.
Without committing yourself.

Production runs reliably whilst being ready for more. With READY, you lay the foundations for automation without having to commit to anything today. Get started today. And stay flexible for tomorrow.

+ THE CONCEPT: The machine already features all the necessary mechanical and software interfaces (e.g. automation door, bus systems).

+ YOUR BENEFIT: Investment protection. You start out today with a skilled-worker-based setup and can upgrade as soon as the order situation warrants automation, without the need for time-consuming retrofitting.

Stage 2: RUN
Stage 3: GROW
Level 4: STAIRS

  • ACURA READY

For businesses that currently manufacture compact 5-axis components flexibly and wish to keep their options open for future pallet or robotic automation. The machine remains accessible from the front and is technically prepared for lateral automation. This enables you to ensure precise manufacturing today whilst remaining flexible for the next stage of expansion.

  • TILTENTA READY

For businesses whose production processes vary from day to day: long workpieces, heavy components, large clamping surfaces and changing machining tasks. The TILTENTA READY provides a stable foundation for this, offering flexibility in day-to-day single-part and small-batch production. At the same time, your production setup remains open to future expansion should you wish to shorten set-up times and further increase productive running times.

  • Tool management

When the machine is operating at full capacity, the tool stock becomes the next key to productivity. A STANDBY magazine provides additional tool positions, reduces the need for manual intervention and enables longer running times when switching between jobs. This means the spindle remains in the process for longer, even when components, materials and programmes change frequently.

  • Add automation

When machinery and tool stock are utilised to full capacity, loading and unloading become the next key to productivity. Appropriate automation reduces non-productive times, enables set-up to take place whilst production is running, and extends productive running times even outside regular shifts. Step by step, this creates a compact production cell that maximises capacity from the available floor space and existing workforce.

  • Pallet automation

Pallet automation is suitable for businesses where the machine is generally well utilised, but too much spindle runtime is lost during set-up, adjustment and loading or unloading. It is particularly useful for small to medium batch sizes and jobs that can be prepared whilst the machine is running.
This creates a production cell that processes several jobs in succession and enables more productive running time, even with limited staff.

  • Workpiece handling

Workpiece handling is suitable for businesses that wish to automatically load and unload large numbers of similar raw parts or recurring components without having to prepare each part individually on pallets. It is particularly useful for predictable part families, stable clamping processes and production runs – whether large-scale or small-batch – with repeatable sequences. This creates an automated production cell that relieves the operator of repetitive manual tasks and reliably supplies the machine over extended periods.

  • Hybrid automation

Hybrid automation is suitable for businesses that wish to produce both pre-assembled pallets and recurring workpieces automatically. It is a sensible option when the mix of parts varies, but longer unmanned running times and flexible order sequences are still required. This results in a production cell that can process individual parts, small batches and recurring components with significantly greater independence from the operator.

The technical specifications of READY.

READY comprises a number of technical preparations which, taken together, enable the subsequent integration of an automation system. The machine remains fully operational in manual mode, but is already equipped in such a way that mechanical loading, clamping device control and control system communication are ready for use. This makes it significantly easier to implement the next stage of automation at a later date.

We analyse your current workpieces, batch sizes, set-up times and surface conditions.

We determine what preparatory work is appropriate to ensure that automation remains a possibility in the future.

You’ll initially continue production as usual and then expand when the time is right from a business perspective.

Determine the level of automation

Don’t make decisions under pressure.

READY gives you peace of mind without requiring you to make immediate changes to your production processes. You are investing in a machine that operates productively today and remains open to automation tomorrow. This reduces risk, particularly in businesses where orders, production volumes and staff availability can change rapidly.

Invest wisely today, expand more easily tomorrow.

READY pays for itself primarily by avoiding dead ends. Future automation need not be thwarted by the machine base. You secure your options without having to take the full step towards automation straight away. This makes the investment easier to plan and reduces the risk of additional costs later on.

Frequently asked questions about the first step: READY.

Our solution for the first step.

The first step towards automation begins with the right machine base. READY comprises machining centres that are already prepared for subsequent integration with an automation solution. Whilst the compact ACURA series is designed for maximum productivity with small to medium-sized workpieces, the TILTENTA series offers maximum flexibility for large, long and varying workpieces. This allows you to lay the foundations for future automation steps with a machine that is already ideally suited to your production needs today.
