Die fast einhundert Jahre bestehende BAADER-Group befindet sich seit ihrer Gründung 1919 in Familienbesitz und beschäftigt mittlerweile gut 1100 Mitarbeiter weltweit, 500 alleine am Hauptsitz in Lübeck. Am norddeutschen Standort liegt der Schwerpunkt klar auf der Produktion von Fischverarbeitungsmaschinen. Im Ausland werden darüber hinaus Maschinen für die Geflügelverarbeitung hergestellt und unter dem Markennamen LINCO weltweit vermarktet.

Heterogenes Teilespektrum in kleinen Stückzahlen

In Lübeck werden mehr als 50 Basisvarianten der Fischverarbeitungsmaschinen auf 14.000 m² Produktionsfläche gefertigt und in kundenspezifischen Ausführungen vertrieben. Wegen der großen Anzahl an unterschiedlichen Grundmodellen wird eine Vielzahl an Bauteilen benötigt, größtenteils in nur kleinen Stückzahlen. „Die durchschnittliche Losgröße liegt bei zehn Stück, das Teilespektrum ist dabei absolut heterogen“, beschreibt Produktionsleiter Jörg Schröter die Situation in der Fertigung.

Hygiene spielt bei den Lebensmittelverarbeitungsmaschinen von BAADER eine enorm wichtige Rolle, was schon beim Material der Werkstücke anfängt. Überwiegend wird rostfreier Edelstahl bearbeitet, in geringem Umfang auch Aluminium, Messing und Kunststoffe. Die Bauteile müssen grundsätzlich so beschaffen sein, dass sich keine Bakterien in unebenen Flächen ablagern können.

T7 2600 rund um die Uhr im Einsatz

Für diese herausfordernde Fertigungsaufgabe kommen auch drei Maschinen von HEDELIUS zum Einsatz: zwei kombinierte 3- und 5-Achs-Bearbeitungszentren RS 605 K sowie ein Schwenkspindel-Bearbeitungszentrum T7 2600.  Für ein spezielles Bauteil der Separatoranlagen konnte dank des Maschinenkonzepts von HEDELIUS eine erfreuliche Produktionssteigerung erzielt werden: Gemeinsam mit den Spezialisten von HEDELIUS wurde bei BAADER die Fertigung des Bauteils so optimiert, dass die T7 2600 nun in der dritten Schicht ohne Bediener fertigen kann. „Tagsüber werden auf der T7 Standardteile produziert, nachts läuft die Maschine in der dritten Schicht mannlos“, ergänzt Diplom-Ingenieur Schröter. „Wir haben gemeinsam eine schöne Lösung gefunden.“

Eine Partnerschaft auf Augenhöhe

Besonders wichtig war für BAADER auch, einen verlässlichen Partner auf Augenhöhe zu haben. „Natürlich gibt es auch mal Probleme, die werden aber kurzfristig gelöst“, erzählt Jörg Schröter und berichtet: „Wir haben es nicht ein Mal gehabt, dass ein vereinbarter Termin nicht eingehalten wurde.“ Außerdem überzeugte bei der Maschinenbeschaffung neben dem Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis das Konzept „Made in Germany“. Die Komponenten der HEDELIUS Bearbeitungszentren kommen zum größten Teil aus Deutschland. Für die BAADER-Group liegt darin ein klarer Vorteil. „Es war uns wichtig, dass wir bei der Ersatzteilbeschaffung kurze Wege haben“, erläutert Produktionsleiter Schröter die Beweggründe. „Die Stabilität und technische Ausführung der Bearbeitungszentren hat uns überzeugt.“
