Steingross Feinmechanik GmbH & Co. KG specialises in the manufacture of sophisticated CNC-turned and CNC-milled components – from prototypes through to series production. Founded in Berlin in 1990 by Uwe Steingross, the company sees itself as a comprehensive system supplier of CNC machining technology and combines modern milling and turning processes with surface treatment, precision finishing, final assembly and design consultancy. Since 2019, Steingross has been relying heavily on HEDELIUS as a technology partner – including for the automation of its manufacturing processes.

Complete machining of complex workpieces in a single setup with the HEDELIUS TILTENTA 9-2600 MILLTURN

Milling and turning in one clamping: In the new product video, the TILTENTA MILLTURN shows what modern complete processing looks like today. The continuous machining process reduces reclamping operations, increases process reliability and creates the basis for the economical and precise production of complex workpieces. Experience the TILTENTA MILLTURN in practical use and discover the advantages of economical and process reliable complete processing on one machine.

HEDELIUS TILTENTA 9-2600 MILLTURN machining center for precise CNC machining and complex manufacturing

With the TILTENTA MILLTURN, HEDELIUS is opening a milling and turning machining centre on the market for the first time that combines both machining steps in one machine, thus enabling a continuous manufacturing process. Instead of having to reclamp workpieces several times or switch between different machines, the entire machining process takes place in one stable clamping, which simplifies processes and reduces sources of error. Find out how the concept works in detail, what possibilities arise in practice and for which applications the MILLTURN is particularly suitable.

In prototype construction, Vitronic relies on the modular Schunk clamping technology kit in order to work flexibly, with process reliability and optimised set-up times** in frequently changing clamping situations. Thanks to the Vero-S zero-point clamping system, various clamping devices, lathe chucks and hydraulic tool holders, clamping operations can be transferred quickly, machines utilised efficiently and high-quality machining results achieved. The unit's scalable equipment significantly increases productivity, ergonomics and reliability.

“Good cooperation”: S&S Managing Director Jens Meyer and Department Manager Michael Nonn appreciate the personal support provided by HEDELIUS Area Sales Manager Sven Stein.

Thanks to the TILTENTA 11- 2600, S&S Schliess- und Sicherungssyteme GmbH in Mühlhausen, Thuringia can now produce even more time-efficiently. Thanks to the generous work area, the integrated swivelling spindle concept and high-performance 5-axis complete processing, one clamping is sufficient for S&S to process complex components completely with the TILTENTA 11- 2600.
